WORKING WITH THE CHAKRAS
The chakras are like portals leading to different energy fields in your aura. Energy moves in and out of chakras in a spiral formation. The chakras are like a camera lens, and can become blocked, silted up, closed down or stuck open. Reiki can clean and rebalance chakras very effectively. Even non-Reiki people instinctively cover their chakras if there is too much energy going into them, ego we clamp a hand on our stomach in response to emotional shock, on our chest from fright, on our solar plexus when being verbally bullied. '
FIRST CHAKRA, BASE OR ROOT CHAKRA
Located at the perineum (what you sit on). Associated with the colour red.Body Organs, the hard organs,spine, skeleton, bones,teeth and nails,the anus,rectum, intestines, birth and reproductive organs,the prostrate and the gonads, blood and cells. Your anchor on the earthly plane. Affects survival issues around your body, housing, money, territory and animal instincts. Element, earth. Sound, "Lam"
SECOND SHAKRA, SACRAL OR SEXUAL CHAKRA
Located between the navel and the base chakra. Associated with the colour orange.Endocrine System, gonads. Body Organs, pelvis, lymphatic system,kidneys,bladder, muscles,genitals, all body fluids, blood, lymph, digestive jusices,semen. Function, center of sexual energy - feeling/ emotional center. Element, water. Sound, "Vam"
THIRD CHAKRA, SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA
Located in the hollow where the lower rib-cage forms a 'V'. Associated with the colour yellow. This is the place of ego consciousness. How you relate to others without giving away your own power. A mature ego becomes the base of the heart, which trusts and allows the heart to open. Element, fire. Sound, "Ram"
FOURTH SHAKRA, HEART OR LOVE CHAKRA
Associated with the colour green. The source of healing and balance in the body. The place of relationship (not co-dependency). Where heaven and earth can meet in us, and where we can really unite with each other. Unconditional love centre. Sound, "Yam"
FIFTH CHAKRA, THROAT OR COMMUNICATION CHAKRA
Associated with the colour blue. Endocrine System, thyroid. Physical Organs, throat and lungs, neck,vocal chords,thyroid gland, the jaw,ears. The centre of communication and self expression. Sometimes holds anger from not expressing one's truth, clairudience. Sound,"Ham"
SIXTH CHAKRA, THIRD EYE OR BROW CHAKRA
Associated with the colour indigo (a deep purpley-blue). Expanded consciousness, visions, ideas, ideals,intuition, inspiration and higher thinking. Element, radium. Body organs linked to this chakra, the brain and all its components, the central nervous system, the face, the eyes, the ears, the nose, the sinuses. Sound, " Ham - Ksham"
SEVENTH CHAKRA, CROWN CHAKRA
Locate on top of the head. Associated with pure white light. The unity of all things. Pure God consciousness, Pituiitary gland, Physical organs, Upper brain, Right eye, cerbrum. Function, connects us with our spiritual self. Sound, "Om"
BALANCING THE CHAKRAS
. Place your right hand on the heart, and your left hand in the aura of the base chakra. . Maintain this position for a few minutes until the energy feels balanced between the two. . Keep your right hand on the heart, but move your left hand to the sacral chakra. . Maintain this position for a few minutes until the energy feels balanced between the two. . Keep your right hand on the heart, but move your left hand to the solar plexus. . Maintain this position for a few minutes until the energy feels balanced between the two. . Place both hands on the heart for a moment. . Keep your left hand on the heart, but move your right hand to the throat chakra. . Maintain this position for a few minutes until the energy feels balanced between the two. . Keep your left hand on the heart, but move your right hand to the third eye. . Maintain this position for a few minutes until the energy feels balanced between the two. . Keep your left hand on the heart, but move your right hand to the aura above the crown chakra.
It is also possible (if you have long arms) to balance the base and crown, then the third eye and sacral chakra, then the solar plexus and throat, and end with both hands on the heart.
