What follows is a list of Websites that will attune you to reiki free or for very low fees
show Attunement methods, Reiki Manuals, The Reiki Symbols. I would encourage people to explore the many
resources and points of view regarding Reiki.
If you are already a reiki practitioner,master, teacher and viewing these might make you
question your methods and thus lose confidence in your ability, then please do not go look
at them. No matter what style you practice, know that there is no "wrong way" to do reiki,
and so there are always different perspectives.
Symbols are exactly that, a symbol. They are not the thing they represent. These symbols,
like the level II symbols are representations of a specific manifestation or property of the
Reiki energy. They are not the energy themselves. Some may find the presentation of the
symbols here abhorrent. To them, the symbols are secret and sacred. The secretive belief,
presumably, is that if the symbols are known they will lose their power or that others will
profane them or try to use them for uses other than reiki, or to harm. The symbols have no
power of their own. They are a connection to the source. The symbols cannot be profaned or
used for harm, they represent the Reiki source, and Reiki cannot be used for harm. Reiki is
sacred, the symbols are kanji, or Japanese words. They are found on tendai Buddhist temple
walls, in books, in Buddhist practices, and all sort of other places in plain view in Japan.
Indeed, anyone with a Japanese dictionary could look them up.
You will find many variations of the reiki symbols but don't worry they all work it is your
INTENT that is the main word to remember when doing anything with reiki be it attunements,
healing or distant healing it is impossible to do any of the above wrong, but you must place
your trust in reik, don't try to hard just let the energy flow, if you find distant healing
or attunements hard work you are trying to hard, your INTENT is enough and mistakes you make
fill be fixed by the source, before using reiki ask the angels, spirit, your Reiki guides,
Dr Usui, God, Jesus for help(take your pick and use your intuition), this does away with our human ego. :)

Most other books on Reiki continue to express the many limited viewpoints that have been maintained in the last 70 years.
"Essential Reiki" approaches the subject with the understanding that Reiki truly is an unlimited energy.
There are people in the Reiki community who believe that anyone who learns Reiki in a manner considered
"non-traditional" is not a real Reiki practitioner. These people try to discredit any modern techniques as being "not real Reiki".
