Reiki is a generic word in Japan. It is used to describe any type of healing work based on Universal Life Force Energy, and has the same basic meaning as the Chinese 'Chi' and the Sanskrit 'Prana'. It is not exclusive to the system of healing based on Mikao Usui's method. Reiki is non-religious and can be accepted by anyone of any faith or creed. Normally applied by the hands, it nonetheless can be transmitted by the feet, arms, elbows and forehead as required, making it perfectly accessible for people with physical disabilities.
Reiki is an exchange of service; do not expect gratitude for a free treatment, but instead exchange services or money. Within friendships and family there is possibly a natural exchange. Be careful to charge what you believe is right, and not a fixed, standard sum.
Be aware of being used, but do not manipulate others. You have the right to refuse to heal if your intuition guides you, or you feel used, or if personal circumstances deem it inappropriate. Be very aware AT ALL TIMES of your ego and remerpber you are only a channel of healing energy. YOU DO NOT HEAL, the patients themselves draw healing energy through you. DO NOT attempt to give Reiki to a person who is unwilling. Remember also that children generally need less Reiki than adults, and it should only ever be administered if they are totally willing and co-operative. If they get fidgety, then you should stop, as this is a sign that they do not need any more. The rules just given apply to animals as well.
Advise the patient that although Reiki is usually pleasant, uncomfortable feelings or physical symptoms may be experienced during or shortly after a treatment. The patient should be encouraged to mention any discomfort or experience that they may have during a treatment. Understanding is necessary, and a wonderful shared experience might produce the keys to the relative problems and assist healing. Toxins on all levels are being cleared and the whole energy system is being readjusted and rebalanced. It may, with long-standing imbalances, take several sessions to obtain lasting relief. At times people may at some level resist treatment, and Reiki will not flow. Discuss this with them.
Patients may not immediately lose physical/emotional symptoms, as Reiki energy may be working on different levels to heal in whatever order is necessary for the highest good, and may be healing something not expected, remember Reiki is an intelligent energy, and we have no control over it. Are There lessons still to be learned ? What is the Karmic pattern ? What bcomes first, the chicken or the egg ?
Heal your own eyes and ears. Learn to observe and LISTEN, and. truly understand both inwardly and outwardly. We are all still learning, still making -mistakes, still growing. NEVER JUDGE, NEVER MAKE COMPARISONS. LOVE IS POSSIBLY THE ONLY LESSON YOU SHOULD STRIVE TO LEARN IN THIS LIFETIME. You cannot love if you judge, and you cannot judge if you make unconditional love your way of life.
There are no limits to the ab_lities and power of Reiki in treating and balancing plants, animals, cosmos, and Mother Earth as well as Her people. Problems have been produced by Man misusing power and energy, and it is now up to Man to rectify these problems by realising that change is necessary to heal all wounds. Reiki is only one of the methods that can be used to channel healing and spiritual understanding for use by mankind. Sometimes the patient may require alternative and/or complementary treatments for their condition. Be sympathetic to this; listen, understand and even suggest this if you feel it is the way forward for them. Understand from within your heart, not your head.
There is a great change happening on this planet, and in order to keep up with it we have to raise our vibrations, and be consciously aware. It is our birthright to be able to heal, and only by healing ourselves will we be able to raise our own vibrations and levels of understanding. This is necessary to enable us to live on Earth in these great times of change. Mother Earth has been abused and trashed for long enough. People throughout the ages have taken from Her, depleted Her and then forgotten to give back. People visit power-spots throughout the world_ and take energy from Her, but forget to give thanks, and fail to realise that She needs healing energy as well. Whenever you can, reconnect with nature and send love and healing to our Earth Mother. She is in great need of healing. Take time to admire the beauty of nature. Lay your hands on the Earth, and on the plants and trees. Sending healing energy and love will strengthen your bond with Her, and reconnect you to the true essence of Being.
